A BLOG FOR BROWN GIRLS
Meet the Author
Monique B. (Mo), born on August 20, 1998, in Kansas City, Missouri, is an ambitious woman devoted to being the voice of the people.
Monique is a freelance writer, videographer, content creator, and social media manager. At the age of 21, she became a college graduate of Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma where she received her Associates in Arts and her Bachelors of Arts majoring in Broadcast Journalism.
While attending Langston University, she served as a pillar for her community while maintaining a position on the Dean's Honor Roll.
She was heavily involved on campus in organizations such as the National Council of Negro Women, Student Activities Board, The National Society of Leadership and Success, National Association of Black Journalists, and Miss Black and Old Gold for the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
Throughout her journey, she has found a passion for chasing her dreams and helping others find a dream to chase.
She is a firm believer that everyone has the potential to be whatever they want to be with the help of a mentor - so she created this blog to be that mentor for brown girls like you.
"Without the help I've had, there's no telling where I would be. From toxic relationships, self-hate, family deaths, failure, and more, my mentors were always there to let me know I am more than that. I am enough, and you are too!"
